IT"S BEEN A LONG TIME!!!!

Yes, I know that it has been a while since I last posted anuthing on my blog. But I haven't been really very created lately. But my friend Susan and I went up to Elk Grove at the beginning of Novemember. We went up to take a few classes from Tim Holtz's at Stamper's Corner. Had alot of fun and saw a few old friends. Here are a few pictures of the things we did.

Where Have I Been?

It's been a long time since I blogged last. Life has been a bit CRAZY... Plus, I have been in a bit of an artist funk. But I'm hoping to get out through it... I don't know what I want to work on first, but I'm getting the bug to CREATE.... So I don't know if it will be paper, jewerly, or painting.. But I want and need to make and create SOMETHING... May the Artist GODS bless me with ideas and creativity SOON!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING.......

Sorry, I've been away. It's been a bit crazy lately..... I haven't forgotten that I promise Lori, I would show her how I made the background to my ATC card. I will. PROMISE...

A few things:

I went to the Carson Rubber Stamp Convention. Was good and didn't spend alot. Of course I own one of everything there. I really went to see if there was anything new. I got to see Tim Holtz doing DEMOS... He's go great!!! And it was GREAT to see quite a few people from the cruise....

I'm really sorry to hear the some desperate and awful person stole Tim Holtz's personel belongings. It's a shame that BAD THINGS happen to GOOD PEOPLE. But knowing Tim, he will pick himself up and dust himself off and move on. No need to dewell on the bad stuff...

A couple of friends and I took an Encaustic Art Card and Canvas class in Ploway, CA at Stamping Detailing. Great store. I'll post pictures. OMG!!! Was that fun

Happy Friday the 13th to ALL. I'm so excited!! People are logging onto my Blog... Didn't think any one would....

A peek on what I'm working on......

I don't have the best camera. But here are a few pictures of the back ground I created for a Fall/Thanksgivng ATC.

I'm having alot of fun making them. I LOVE making back grounds, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what to put on them... Especially these. I love the embossed back ground.

It's amazing what some ink, water, an embossing folder, and a bit of creativity can come up with.

A simple Thanksgiving card. I'm sending to a few special people the card with one of the ATC's... If I can ever think of what to add to it.

VETERAN'S DAY

I just wanted to take a moment to say that even though I have the day off from work, and that I'm working on a few cards and ATC's for Thanksgiving.

I want to thank all the Soldiers and Veterens that have fought or given their lives to protect us. And to the families, I don't think there are words that can say what a gift you give or gave us with family members who are willing to lay down their lives for those who need it or to protect the rights of humanity.

A few month's ago a co-worker and friend lost her brother in Afganistan. I can't tell you how hard it is to know someone who lost a love one in a War situation.

I'm honored to know the sister of a True American HERO...... Lance Corporal Pedro A Barboza Flores. God Bless you and your famliy. Any may God keep Our Soldiers safe and able to come home alive.
